Our Thoughts On This Project

Developed to be a city symbol and significant retail landmark, Mall of Arabia is one of 6 of October city’s largest shopping and retail centers.

Unfolding a contemporary architectural style, the mall is an organic spine arcade wrapped around an open-air plaza featuring terraces, pergolas, restaurants, and coffee shops.

Since its launch, it has been home for some of the top brands both, local and international. AluNile’s scope of work included providing conventional curtainwalls for the prestigious and monumental Glazed Atrium along with remarkable entrances which added beautiful sight and modern interface to it using the combination of aluminum composite cladding and glass.

Curtain Walling

SG50

The SG50 Curtain Walling System is a structurally-glazed solution designed to offer high performance.

DESIGN FEATURES

Uses same grid of mullions and transoms as the SL50.
Curtain walls with structurally bonded opening elements with ""structural"" (all-glass) aesthetics.
Can be used in a full structurally glazed solution or combined with an expressed outer cover in either vertical or horizontal planes.
21 mm visible gap between panels.
Glass installation is achieved by a stainless steel toggle which is fixed on the structure and guarantees mechanical retains.

Peripheral and finishing profiles.
All surface finishes available.
Customised finishes upon request.

SL50

The SL50 system, with millions and transoms with a width of 50 mm is designed to create vertical.

DESIGN FEATURES

Mullions and transoms with external mechanical retain pressure-plate and cover-plate.
For vertical, inclined and polygonal curtain walls and winter-gardens.
Traditional system of mullion, transom, pressure plate and cover cap of varying designs.
Frontal dimension of 50 mm.
Heavy panes up to 690kg.
Insertion of projecting windows both with structural glazing and with mechanical retention.

OPTIONS

Integration with sub-structures (wood, steel).
High Insulation (optional) offering enhanced thermal insulation down to Ucw = 1,1 W/m²K.
Fire Resistance (optional) with the additional provision of fire resistance of up to EI30 and EW30 (EN 1364-3)

APPLICATION TYPE

The series includes a full range of profiles to suit any type of static requirement, wind load and is a traditional system comprising mullion, transom, pressure plate and cover cap with different designs. The system allows insertion of projecting windows both with structural glazing and with mechanical retention of the glass infill, and additional opening elements from the AluK range.

Foolding Doors

45V

The 45V is a non-insulated folding door system which provides an elegant and innovative application choice for balcony-doors, eliminating the separation between the internal and external environment, and offering a wide opening.

DESIGN FEATURES

System adapted for large dimensions up to 2400 mm high and 900 mm wide per sash.
In the folded position, the folding door offers a minimum passage of up to 95% of total opening width.
Glass infill from 4 to 28 mm. Single or double glazing.
Max weight: Up to 70 kg per sash.
High level of performance (weather tightness) and finger protection obtained by the double gasket barrier (central and peripheral).
Smooth operation, design and ergonomy facilitate the opening and closing of the panels.
Opening frames are guided by a roller rail at the top. Bottom rail can be embedded.

OPTIONS

Option of integrating with AluK 45P louver system for amazing folding combination with solar control.
Several possible combinations of elements and opening sashes.
Open in & open out.
Low threshold (for disabled people).

The 53CO is a non-insulated flush door with inward and outward opening.

DESIGN FEATURES

Tight seal with double rebate gaskets along the perimeter.
Frame and sash : 53 mm.
Traditional shape.
Flus door, both inward and outward opening.
Squared, smoothed or rounded glazing bead.
Glazing thickness : 4 to 30 mm.

OPTIONS

Security glazing beads for greater burglary resistance.

APPLICATION TYPE

The Frame and sash are 53 mm deep, This series has been designed to offer top-quality door sets with complete machining and fittings (sill profiles, plugs). The 53CO is compatible with simple or safety “multipoint” door locks to improve burglary resistance.
